Finally! I am posting =Nyxen's full prize pic, and I threw in a bonus.... her character Nyx. (It took so long for me to get the pencil sketches scanned, that I drew Nyx too and added her.) I am also going to upload a version with just the Catalysts.

So, here is the first time Nyx has ever run across the Catalyst stallion and is mare.

And I promised to tell the reason behind the name Catalyst, and Nyx gets to demonstrate. A catalyst causes a reaction to take place, but the process doesn't change the catalyst in any way. For these unique equines, their presence causes a power flux, a dramatic increase or release of power, such as elemental powers like Nyx has, or any other type of power. This reaction can be potentially dangerous to the holder of that power and the surrounding area. (Yes, this does mean that the Catalyst itself could be put in danger if things around it become hazardous.) Maintaining control of ones power in the presence of a Catalyst is entirely dependent on how powerful the ability was previous, how well a character can control it in the first place and/or how good they are at diffusing the excess. A Catalyst does not control this power amplifying reaction, it is simply a condition of its existence. Also, a Catalyst feels nothing when this reaction occurs, but may sense a change in the power holder. Different Catalysts influence different types of power to different degrees. As seen here, one of Nyx's powers is affected by her proximity to the Catalyst mare, but not the others. If she touched the mare, it would affect all her powers, and if she moved away, it would cease to influence them.

Last of all, the Catalyst has no powers of its own. Now, since I stated it in my other deviation of the stallion, you might wonder how they can travel through many worlds if they do not have any powers of their own, but in order to do that, all they have to do is run across something that does. Wham, power flux and a portal to another world.

As stated before in the other deviation, Catalysts are completely blind.

Not too confusing I hope.

I love this. I love the story of them. I love how you drew them, and of course, I love how Nyx turned out. I could easily see the two of them hitching rides in her wake fairly often. :)

This is so great.

I like how the light coming off of Nyx's leg is reflected on the tail, underbelly, and at least a couple of the other legs.

Thanks! I'm glad. It just kinda came to me as I was drawing them. =D Yup, they probably would hitchhike in Nyx's wake... every time she decided to come near them. =)

Thank you. Surprisingly enough, the hardest thing to do on these was actually the hair. ^^; Straight or smooth lines are hard for me because I do not have a very steady hand, so the horns were actually really easy for me. =D

=D Thank you. They are pretty neat, but I don't think I will be doing anything more with them really.
